*History*
	JCS Veterinary Reproductive Services, established by Dr. Juan C. Samper in September 1994, is located in the outskirts of Vancouver, Canada. Our present facility is designed to house stallions and mares with or without foals and our laboratory is well equipped to provide routine and specialty diagnostic and therapeutic work in the equine reproductive field, including foaling facilities.

	JCS Veterinary Reproductive Services is an equine veterinary practice with a world renowned board certified theriogenologist (reproduction specialist www.therio.org). We strive for excellence and good service in all aspects of equine reproductive medicine with emphasis on breeding management and pediatric medicine. Through our practice our clients have current information on available breeding technologies. To stay at the forefront of this rapidly expanding field JCS Veterinary Reproductive Services continues to generate research in collaboration with universities and other reproduction specialists around the world.
Clients
	From the beginning, we established a loyal and high quality clientele. Our practice works on all types of horses from Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds to Miniature horses. In addition to our local clients in the greater Vancouver area and the Fraser Valley, JCS Veterinary Reproductive Services has consulted for breeders and veterinarians in over 25 countries. JCS Veterinary Reproductive Services is proud to be able to establish contacts and foster networking between our local clients and those in other countries.
*Credentials*
	Dr. Juan C. Samper is the owner of JCS Veterinary Reproductive Services. He graduated from Veterinary school in 1982 and after 3 years in large animal practice specialized in animal reproduction (Theriogenology) at the University of Minnesota. In addition to his vast private practice experience, Dr. Samper has been on the faculty at the Ontario Veterinary College as well as the Veterinary school at Kansas State University. He has lectured or worked in over 25 countries. Among his many accomplishments Dr. Samper is a past President of the Society for Theriogenology www.therio.org. As of 2008, Dr. Samper has published over 100 papers and is the author of Equine Breeding Management and Artificial Insemination, one of the most read textbooks in equine reproduction. View the book at www.amazon.com. In collaboration with AO McKinnon and J. Pycock he wrote the first edition of Current Therapy in Equine Reproduction which became available in 2004. In December 2008, the second edition of Equine Breeding Management and Artificial Insemination was released with detailed information of the mare, from breeding to foaling.
